Employer Engagement
& Career Services!
WHO WE ARE
At Pima Community College, Employer Engagement and Career Services (EECS) is here to support learners and alumni along their pathway to success. We’re passionate about helping individuals explore opportunities, develop essential skills, and connect with employers who are eager to hire. Our team partners with employers, faculty, and the community to create meaningful pathways to careers, internships, and hands-on learning experiences.
OUR MISSION
We serve as the career and employment connector building inclusive work-based learning opportunities to meet the needs of our community, industry, and learners.
OUR MODEL
EECS operates with a people-focused and partnership-driven approach that reflects Pima’s mission to "Empower every learner, every day, for every goal."
Our model is built around three key pillars:
Empower:
Help learners and alumni build the skills they need to succeed, from crafting standout résumés and cover letters to mastering interviews and networking.
Provide access to tools like Big Interview and MyCareerLink, which offer valuable resources and connections to career opportunities.
Collaborate:
Develop strong relationships with employers to ensure Pima learners and alumni are top candidates for job openings.
Organize events, workshops, and networking opportunities where learners and employers can connect directly.
Engage:
Work closely with faculty to bring career readiness into the classroom, ensuring learners can connect their academic experiences to real-world applications.
Promote hands-on learning experiences like internships, apprenticeships, and other work-based opportunities to help students explore careers and gain practical skills.
