What is EECS?

Employer Engagement & Career Services (EECS) helps students develop career readiness skills, connect with employers, explore career options, prepare for internships and employment, and transition successfully into the workforce.

Our team partners with faculty, staff, employers, and community organizations to make career development part of the student experience.

Your Role

You don't need to be a career expert to make a difference. One conversation, one referral, or one classroom activity can help students take meaningful steps toward their goals.

What is MyCareerLink?

MyCareerLink is Pima Community College's online career services platform.

Every currently enrolled student already has an account and can access MyCareerLink through Single Sign-On (SSO).

Faculty and staff also have access through SSO.

Big Interview is an online platform that helps students prepare for interviews and improve their résumés.

What is the best way to connect students with EECS?

There are many ways for students to engage with Employer Engagement & Career Services (EECS). While we're always happy to provide individualized support, we encourage faculty and staff to first connect students with our regularly scheduled programs and events whenever appropriate.

These opportunities allow students to receive high-quality career support while also connecting with peers, employers, and campus resources.

We recommend encouraging students to participate in:

EECS on Campus for one-on-one support at campuses across the college
Career Café for informal career conversations and career development activities
Popcorn with a Program to explore careers related to their academic program and meet local employers
Hiring events, networking events, and employer information sessions
Welcome Week, Super Saturday, Student Life Resource Fairs, and other campus events where EECS is present

These events are designed to make career support accessible and are often the fastest way for students to connect with our team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do students already have MyCareerLink accounts?

Yes. All currently enrolled students automatically receive access through Single Sign-On.

How long does résumé review take?

EECS reviews submitted résumés no later than the last day of the college work week in which they are submitted.

Students receive individualized feedback whether their résumé is approved or requires revisions.

Students may revise and resubmit their résumé as many times as needed.

Can I refer a student directly?

Yes.

Students may email careerservices@pima.edu, or faculty and staff may contact EECS on a student's behalf.

Can EECS present to my class, club, or other student group?

Absolutely.

EECS offers presentations, workshops, employer panels, and career readiness activities for classes and student groups.

Yes.
